Patty Loveless - The Lonely Side Of Love

INTRO: F C G C F C
I can't make these heartaches go away, he's always on my mind
                                  D G
The memories of the love we had, don't fade away with time
              C F C
What is this crazy road I'm on, I don't understand
      F C F
What makes two people fall in love
                               C F
What goods a promise when the love is gone
                          C
Where do you go when you find yourself
        G C
On the lonely side of love

                                   F C
The rain is falling to the ground, the neon rainbows glow
                           D G
I see us standing far away where peaceful waters flow
          C F C
It's the only dream that I have left that I can hold on to
      F C F
Now, am I right or am I wrong
                           C F
For holding on to what is gone
                      C
And what's left to believe in
        G C
On the lonely side of love

Lonely Universe chords – Angel Olsen

 Lonely Universe

intro

 C E Am x2

verse

 C E
Your hands were cold

               Am
Your voice was shaky

 C E Am
One morning not too long ago

 C E Am
And at the time I was only a child

 C E Am
About to lose my childlike mind

             D
The way you touched my hands

         C G Am
Like you never had before

              G Am G
It wasn't you anymore

verse

 C E
I called for my brothers

                Am
I called for my sisters

 C E Am
But there was nothing left for them to do

         D
And so I watched from far away

        C G Am
As the ambulances came

                         G Am G
And started dressing for school

chorus

 C G Dm Am G
Good bye sweet mother earth

 C G Dm Am G
With out you now I'm a Lonely Universe

          D
You won't always understand

            C G Am
When you’ve truly loved someone

                    G Am G
Until after they’ve gone

verse

 C E Am
This time of year the nights fall longer

 C E Am
So grow a spine or catch cold

 C E Am
The winter months they do make you feel stronger

 C E Am
But in the end it's all getting old

              D C G Am
And you won't always be walking the safest streets

                          G Am G
But you can find your way home

verse

 C G Dm Am G
If you have imagined your way back

 C G Dm Am G
Then my dear you’re more than halfway there

              D
And you might only possess

            C G Am
What you've carried on your back

                        G
But you've always been free

         Am G
Now it's time to believe

verse

 C G Dm Am G
Time to give up that unforgiving act of altogetherness

       C G Dm Am G
And start living out your oldest childhood dreams

       C G Dm Am G
Well, losing your minds it ain’t half as bad as it seems

           D
And if you would take the risk

         C G Am
Well, it might be worth your time

                G
It's only your life

     Am G
It's only going by

chorus

 C G Dm Am G
Goodbye sweet mother earth

 C G Dm Am G
Without you now I'm a Lonely Universe

          D
You won’t always understand

            C G Am
When you’ve truly loved some one

                   G Am G
Until after they’ve gone

Fields Of Athenry chords – Dropkick Murphys V5

I have taken a little time to do a version of this, there are several posted but none are complete.
By far the simplest way to play this is is to tune down a semi tone to Eb, you can of course leave
your guitar in standard tuning and transpose down (-1 on the auto transpose on the left of your screen)
giving you Eb Ab Bb and Cm if you wish. Song is in the key of Eb (something to do with bagpipe tuning)
Comments and suggestions welcome, please rate

For you stole Trevelyn's corn, so the young might see the morn, now a prison ship lies waiting in the bay

CHORUS:

I should have loved you,
Should have cried out your name,
I should have brought you flowers every day,

I should have told you,
How much I love you,
Since the very first of every day,

Bridge

I just don't know why
Why i feel like this
But it's just a great feeling knowing that i met you

Chorus

(Rap-like)
[Coz] Everytime I see you, I just feel so happy,
I don't know why, but it is just so silly,
We both know, We don't know, how to be guilt free,
of knowing that I love you, and that you cannot be with me,

My regrets, My mistakes, never felt so lonely
I was a dumb fuck, never been so sorry,
When I close my eyes it is you that I always see
Thinking of those memories that are so precious to me

Oh |, I've never been so lonely,
You are everything to me,
Oh ^, With you I'm always happy
I hope that I was -never to dumb to realize everything,

.Refrain

I have loved you like a kid who loves his blankee
I have loved you like a girl who loves her teddy
I have loved you like my dog that never leaves me
I have loved you as if you are the one for me

   A
Funny how the world can change
  F#m
When you're gone nothing's the same
     A
I do the things we used to do
                  F#m
But I don't want to, without you, …no

           D Bm
 So come back and see
         D E
Right here's where you should be

              A
 It gets so lonely
            F#m
 Thinkin' about you
          E
Oh and wonderin' where you are tonight

And if I'm somewhere on your mind
        D
 I've been down every road
   E A
 Are you coming ho-o-o-o-ome?
 F#m
 Ho-o-o-ome

        A
I'm standing in an empty room
      F#m
The silence tells me I need you
        A
Wish you could dry away these tears
              F#m
 And feel my pain

 Maybe then you'd stay

           D Bm
 So come back and see
         D E
Right here's where you should be

              A
 It gets so lonely
            F#m
 Thinkin' about you
          E
Oh and wonderin' where you are tonight

And if I'm somewhere on your mind
        D
 I've been down every road
   E A
 Are you coming ho-o-o-o-ome?

 F
 Every moment I wait
                    A
 Every moment is too late
       F D
And I don't know how to get back everything that we had
                     E
It all feels like such a waste

              A
 It gets so lonely
            F#m
 Thinkin' about you
          E
Oh and wonderin' where you are tonight

And if I'm somewhere on your mind
        D
 I've been down every road
   E
 Are you coming home

              A
 It gets so lonely
            F#m
 Thinkin' about you
          E
Oh and wonderin' where you are tonight

Dark Lonely Ocean chords – Naive Thieves

The chords are right, the timing might be a bit off though. Listen to the song for the
right timing. Cameron also does a little run during the chorus, but I figured I'd keep it
simple. Great song! Enjoy :)

Lonely World chords – Limp Bizkit

capo 2nd (chords according to capo)

intro: Bm D A E

but if u listen to the song, u can hear that bass goes slightly to the note E while
playing chord D, and to the notes G-F# while playing chord E
therefore, u can also do like this while playing :)

Who's the man?!

                    Bm .
When i reminisce ignorance was bliss,
Back in the days where the magic exist
                       D
Never be the same as it was, 'cuz the way it was
                                       ( D/E ) ( D )
Just another day in the maze of a myth
                     A
Had a lot of fun living life on the run,
Never had a chance to pause to get a better glance
 E
Everything was free and everything was fast
        ( E/G ). ( E/F# )
Never even thought it wouldn't last

When you go the mind of a man in the middle
Life is just a big fat riddle, so figure it out
Always thinking that you know
Everything little thing there is to know
But you don't really know, ya know?
It's like love, some people get it
For some it's just a glove that just never fitted
For me it's just a pain in the ass
But i'm addicted to the taste of hopin' it could last

[chorus] (same chords)
Another day another night inside a lonely world
Another game another fight inside a lonely world
Another wrong another right inside a lonely world
Such a lonely world, such a lonely world

Who's the man (the man in the middle) x4

Maybe i'm a target for people that are bitter
At least i can say that i've never been a quitter
I remember high school, man i hated high school
It was like prison with bullies always putting me down
Just a little skater boy they could pick on
I learned to forgive'em, now i got the balls they can lick on
I loved sneakin' out when my mom was asleep
With my gothic girlfriend makin' love in the creek
With the mind of a man in the middle
It could be the end of the world as we know it
Still i never want it all, and i never want it now
I just want to cruise, if i loose then i'll figure it out
How the times flies, even with the blink of an eye
When you're young you absorb like a sponge in disguise
Then you get a little older and gather your thoughts
It's amazing what you learn
When you've never been taught, ya know?

[chorus]

No matter how hard i can try inside a lonely world
No one can hear me when i cry inside a lonely world
I'll never know the reasons why inside a lonely world
Such a lonely world (such a lonely world)
[x2]

Lonely Town Lonely Street written by Bill Withers
version by Joe Bonamassa

Originally Andrew Gerber, edited Paul Millband

Cheers to Andrew, but I think it was a tiny bit off on riffs 1&2. This
sounded more accurate/better to me.

Use bar chords. the first finger lays over the 2nd fret anmd only moves left
and right for the chords. use my third finger to bar the 4th fret stuff but thats more up to you

And is best with an electric guitar setting the pick up to 2nd from left
(not fully left to the rythem setting but has a bit of centre pickup too),
the tone setting set relatively high (depending on ythe guitar) and of
course a bit of distortion on the amp. This only my opinion and may be wrong

intro Riff 1 repeated

Riff 1 repeated
You can live your life in a crowded city
You can walk along a crowded street

Riff 2 repeated
But the city really ain't no bigger than the friendly
People, friendly people that you meet

Riff 3 repeated
Friendly people that you meet

Riff 1 repeated
You might be a sweet young, sweet young pretty pretty
And at the dances you can't keep your seat

Riff 2
But if dances don't lead to romances
You might as well be born, born with two left feet

Riff 3 repeated
be born with two left feet

guitar solo---Good Luck!

follow same above riffs for below lyrics

You might be a sweet toned sure nuff high-class talker
You might be a stone, stone expert at kissing
But it don't do too much good to be talkin
Brother, when there ain't no, ain't nobody lis-nin
ain't nobody lis-nin
And if you are shy, just not much of a talker
Don't impress the people that you meet
You might as well be a lonely walker in a lonley town, on a lonely street
on a lonely street

Riff 1 to end of song
