Tuning: DADF#AD

First tab but don't be discouraged. I have spent a lot of time watching Marcus play and have critiqued
on a lot of other tabs before. After playing Mumfords songs for almost a year now I am certain this tab
is the most correct and accurate for Untitled. For those who know how to play songs such as I Gave You
All it follows the same finger picking pattern. I have put a lot of effort and time into this tab and I
hope I can get helpful feedback as I do wish to continue with tablature.

This particular tab is transcribed from their live performance as seen in this video here:

Farewell chords – Mumford And Sons

This is the cover performed by Marcus Mumford and The Punch Brothers at the
concert inspired by the "Inside Llewyn Davis" film:

Chords:
 G [320003]
 C [x32001]
 D [xx0323]
 G * [302010]

Verse:
 G C G
So, it's fare thee well, my darling true
                                           D
I'm leaving in the first hour of the morn
 G C G
I'm bound off for the bay of Mexico
               D G *
Or maybe the coast of Californ

Chorus:
         D C G
So it's fare thee well my own true love
                                     D
We'll meet another day, another time
              G * C G
It ain't the leaving, that's a-grieving me
                         D G *
But my true love who's bound to stay behind

Verse:
 G C G
Oh, the weather is against me and the wind blows hard
                                       D
And the rain she's a-turning into hail
            G C G
And I still might strike it lucky on a highway going west
                       D G *
But I'm traveling on a path beaten trail

Chorus:
         D C G
So it's fare thee well my own true love
                                     D
We'll meet another day, another time
              G * C G
It ain't the leaving, that's a-grieving me
                         D G *
But my true love who's bound to stay behind

Verse:
 G C G
I will write you a letter from time to time
                                          D
As I'm rambling you can travel with me too
        G C G
With my head, my heart and my hands, my love
                     D G *
I will send what I learn back home to you

Chorus:
         D C G
So it's fare thee well my own true love
                                     D
We'll meet another day, another time
              G * C G
It ain't the leaving, that's a-grieving me
                         D G *
But my true love who's bound to stay behind

Verse:
 G C G
I will tell you of the laughter and the troubles
                                  D
Be them somebody else's or my own
        G C G
With my hands in my pockets and my coat collar high
                  D G *
I will travel or unnoticed and unknown

Chorus:
         D C G
So it's fare thee well my own true love
                                     D
We'll meet another day, another time
              G * C G
It ain't the leaving, that's a-grieving me
                         D G *
But my true love who's bound to stay behind

              G * C G
It ain't the leaving, that's a-grieving me
                         D G *
But my true love who's bound to stay behind

Additional Lyrics:

I've been kicked off my land at the age of sixteen
And I have no idea where else my heart could have been
I placed all my trust at the foot of this hill
And now I am sure my heart can never be still
So collect your courage and collect your horse
And pray you never feel this same kind of remorse

Seal my heart and brake my pride
I've nowhere to stand and now nowhere to hide
Align my heart, my body, my mind
To face what I've done and do my time

Well you are my accuser, now look in my face
Your opression reeks of your greed and disgrace
So one man has and another has not
How can you love what it is you have got
When you took it all from the weak hands of the poor?
Liars and thieves you know not what is in store

There will come a time I will look in your eye
You will pray to the God that you always denied
The I'll go out back and I'll get my gun
I'll say, "You haven't met me, I am the only son"

Seal my heart and brake my pride
I've nowhere to stand and now nowhere to hide
Align my heart, my body, my mind
To face what I've done and do my time

Well yes sir, yes sir, yes it was me
I know what I've done, cause I know what I've seen
I went out back and I got my gun
I said, "You haven't met me, I am the only son"
