Dyin' For Tonight chords – Whiskey Myers V2

 C G
Starlight, satin sheets are gone
 C G
Looks like I'm back where I belong
                 F G
Washed all your tears away like a cold, cold rain
                        Am F G
All that's left is the numbness, drowned all the pain

Chorus:
                F C
So just lay me down
                C C
And kiss me to sleep
                         Am F
And if I'm going in the ground, better nail that pine box down
                        G
and dig that hole real deep
                F C
So just lay me down
                F C
and kiss me goodnight
             Am F
and midnight wonders on and she stole away my soul
                G C C/B Am Am/G G
in the morning light in this cold and lonely life

 C G
Sunlight, never gonna grace my eyes
 C G
My life has been right between the lines
                F G
They call me a dreamer, now the dreams are all gone
                          Am F G
And the cards that I was holding, didn't last me too long

Chorus
               F C
So just lay me down
                C C
And kiss me to sleep
                         Am F
And if I'm going in the ground, better nail that pine box down
                        G
and dig that hole real deep
                F C

Dogwood chords – Whiskey Myers

I saw this song live and this is how he played it then. I know its pretty
simple, but this is how he did it.

As of when this I tabbed this out,the lyrics are not on the internet
so there may be some mistakes. I did my best but there are some
spots where I have no clue what he says, mainly in last chorus. Once
official (or better) lyrics come out, I will make corrections as needed.

Furthermore, he does some hammer-ons and pull-offs on the high E string on
the D chord. I didnt add those in, so just do them as you see fit.

Standard tuning
No Capo

Intro: Em C G D x2

 Em C
Dancing on the creek bank

Back where the dogwood flowers grow

 C G D Em C G D Em C
So I took to drinking

I don't need much of nothin except for all your lovin'
         G F C
And a waltz about whiskey on ice

One quarter should do, number A32

(chorus)

I remember the night she sat down beside me, she said love was a

ring that won't end
                         G
I was handed a lie

Whiskey Drink chords – The Lonesome Trio

Whiskey Drink by The Lonesome Trio

Capo 2

 G C
A candle glows
 Em D
Just like it knows
 G C Em D
I need a little bit of light right now
 G C
And as it burns
 Em D
I see the flame
 G C
It looks alive
 Em D
I wish I felt the same

A whiskey drink
To wash it down
Another swig of that sweet amber brown
In the bottom
I see your smile
I just wanna drink a little
A little while

 Bm C
Hold on
 G D
Everything's fine
 Em C G
Can't you hear the words I'm saying this time?
 Bm C G D
I'd give you everything that I've made
 Em C G
But now all my sins can never be paid

Dig me up
When I am dead
And you will see what's in my head
I hope then
That it's all clear
It's just not there for me to say, my dear

Getting tired
Just wanna rest
Lay my head on your tender breast
But I'm alone
And scared to death
I just need some time to catch my breath

Hold on
Everything's fine
Can't you hear the words I'm saying this time?
I'd give you everything that I've made
But now all my sins can never be paid

But there's hope in my heart
That we can't stay apart
For long
I need
For this to be true

First tab, pretty sure this is spot on though. If anyone can help with outro email me. Thanks.

             Bb Ab F Eb F
Yeah, these are the days of gold
 F
Well it's a southern summer with whiskeys in the air dogs on the burner
Beers ice cold and got a pretty little lady to hold
Southern Summer and that sun shining down like Daddy's silver dollar
Gotta hop on the old dirt road these are the days of gold

Stealing hearts and running wild

Yeah, these are the days of gold

Well it's a Southern summer with whiskeys in the air dogs on the burner

Gotta hop on the old dirt road in the days of gold

Lead Bb F Eb Bb F F
A little bit of you, a little bit of me
What you wanna do, what's it's gonna be
We can get wild, we can live free
Or you can shake it for me baby like a Tambourine.
Slice of watermelon and you spit the seeds
Sweat on you back stickin to the seats
we can take off and beat the heat or bubbles on you honey like a bumble bee
 F
Yeah it's a Southern summer with whiskeys in the air dogs on the burner
Beers ice cold and got a pretty little lady to hold
Southern summer and that sun shining down like Daddy's silver dollar
Gotta hop on the old dirt road these are the days of gold

Lucille Chords – Billy Currington

 Lucille

Capo I

Intro : A A
In a bar in Toledo, across from the depot,
                                 E
On a barstool she took off her ring.

I thought I'd get closer, so I walked on over.
                               A
I sat down and asked her her name.

When the drinks finally hit her, she said, Im no quitter
                               D
But I finally quit living on dreams.
  E
I'm hungry for laughter, and here ever after
                                     A
Whatever the other life brings."

In the mirror I saw him, and I closely watched him.
I thought how he looked out of place.
He came to the woman who sat there beside me
He had a strange look on his face.

The big hands were calloused, he looked like a mountain,
For a minute I thought I was dead.
But he started shaking, his big heart was breaking,
He turned to the woman and said,

(Chorus)
                                         D
"You picked a fine time to leave me, Lucille
                                               A
With four hungry children and a crop in the field.
   D
I've had some bad times, I've lived through some sad times,
                             A
But this time the hurtin' won't heal.
                 E A   --------->  B
You picked a fine time to leave me, Lucille.

 B
After he left us, I ordered more whiskey.
                                    F#
I thought how she'd made him look small.
From the lights of the barroom to the rented hotel room
                              B
we walked without talking at all.

She was a beauty, but when she came to me
                                    E
She must have thought I'd lost my mind.
  F#
I couldn't hold her, for the words that he told her
                              B
Kept comin' back time after time.

(Chorus)
                                        E
"You picked a fine time to leave me, Lucille
                                              B
With four hungry children and a crop in the field.
  E
I've had some bad times,
I've lived through some sad times,
                                  B
But this time the hurtin' won't heal.
              F# B
You picked a fine time to leave me, Lucille.

(Chorus)
"You picked a fine time to leave me, Lucille
                                              B
With four hungry children and a crop in the field.
  E
I've had some bad times,
I've lived through some sad times,
                                  B
But this time the hurtin' won't heal.
              F# B
You picked a fine time to leave me, Lucille.

lyrics
I am the decline of this civilized world but I smoke buds out of the ashtray like scum
of the earth but I
Don´t try to judge but than I ` I am high on coke`, And I Don´t seem to fly high when
I´m down low so I said

I Open up my eyes and breath easily and I see another damn day pass
I Open up my eyes and breath easily and I see another damn day pass

I´m no illusion of your preconceived self, but I like whiskey drinking fools In a bar
made of sand where joey rolls another spliff before we go
hunting out for woman but its better to know that
I open up my eyes and breathe easily and I see another damn day pass
I open up my eyes and breathe easily and I see another damn day pass
See another damn day pass
See another damn day pass
See another damn day pass
(sax solo
open up my eyes and breathe easily and I see another damn day pass
I open up my eyes and breathe easily and I see another damn day pass
I open up my eyes and breathe easily, I see another damn day pass
I open up my eyes and breathe easily, I see another damn day pass
I see another damn day pass

Those Crazy Christians Chords – Brad Paisley

Brad Paisley - Those Crazy Christians

I couldn't find the chords for this song anywhere so I worked it out myself. This
is my first tab, so any suggestions/corrections are welcome.

Standard Tuning/No Capo

Chord Progression:
 D G D Bm A G A G D Bm A D G D
Those crazy Christians, I was gonna sleep in today
            Bm A G
But the church bells woke me up and they’re a half a mile away
                 D G D
Those crazy Christians, dressed up drivin’ down my street
             Bm A G
Get their weekly dose of guilt before they head to Applebee’s

         A G
They pray before they eat and they pray before they snore
         D Bm A
They pray before a football game and every time they score
   A G
Every untimely passing, every dear departed soul
      D Bm A
Is just another good excuse to bake a casserole

Those crazy Christians, go and jump on some airplane
And fly to Africa or Haiti, risk their lives in Jesus’ name
No, they ain’t the late night party kind
They curse the devil’s whiskey while they drink the Savior’s wine

A famous TV preacher has a big affair and then
One tearful confession and he’s born again again
Someone yells hallelujah and they shout and clap and sing
It’s like they can’t wait to forgive someone for just about anything

Those crazy Christians
Instead of being outside on this sunny afternoon
They’re by the bedside of a stranger in a cold hospital room
And every now and then they meet a poor lost soul like me
Who’s not quite sure just who or what or how he ought to be
They march him down the aisle and then the next thing that you know
They dunk him in the water and here comes another one of those crazy Christians

They look to heaven their whole life
And I think what if they’re wrong but what if they’re right
You know it’s funny, much as I’m baffled by it all
If I ever really needed help, well you know who I’d call
Is those crazy Christians
